Bricks, Plaques, and British Weddings

Friends,

I am in the final moments in my office before I leave for England for ten days for the purpose of attending not just one but TWO super fancy British weddings. I am excited and out of time.

Here are somethings for you to consider about our physical plant:

·      Our new patio and seating area will likely be complete by the time you go to Church this coming Sunday. We even added a bike rack to the plan at the last minute, but that won’t be installed until later. This project was completely funded through direct donations from three different St. Luke’s members. More to come in the weeks ahead.

·      A major construction project was completed that should have fixed the leak in the steeple. We are going to proceed with repairing the ceiling. Pray that the fix worked!

·      Construction on the nursery is complete! We are now getting furniture in, and it will be function in the next week or two.

·      A beautiful plaque was generously donated to the Church a while ago that invites us to pray for our active-duty military, and we just got done doing a major overhaul on the plaque, and it looks great! We included a survey in the e-news for several weeks asking active-duty military to submit their names. If you are active-duty and would like to add your name, fill out this survey, and we can add you the next time we add more names to the plaque!

Things are moving here at St. Luke’s, and it is because of the work of our members! We want our space to feel welcoming, and to help facilitate community, and we are clearly moving in that direction.

I am off and cannot wait to see you on July 29th and see all the great things that have happened in my absence.
