Pledge Commitment for Year 2026

Our stewardship theme, as last year, is how we continue to grow as a community and to support one another. With all that has been going on in the news, in our homes, schools and offices, and with ever-shifting economic forecasts, one constant has been the personal, family, and spiritual connections we have formed and strengthened here at St Luke’s.
Our Vestry and Finance Committee has decided that our major stewardship goal for 2026 is to receive enough pledge dollars that a part-time clergy could be hired to support Father Nick in such areas as worship, youth programs, and pastoral care at local retirement homes (the latter mission was a particular focus of Father Nick’s at his previous church).
In its most expansive definition, stewardship means devoting what we can afford to St Luke’s in terms of our time, talent, and treasure. Each hour spent volunteering, each good idea that you have, each dollar that you donate is transformed through prayer and Grace into ministry and mission. We could not be an example of love and compassion in our community without your many and various gifts. But in this particular case, the call is for you to consider, given your financial circumstances, what you could commit as a pledge to St Luke’s in 2026. Our pledge goal is an ambitious $800,000. Achievement of this goal would fund all operational expenses and provide for modest personnel expansion and raises for our hardworking staff.
Accept this pledge as a symbol of my/our commitment to follow Jesus through the intentional practice of giving. I/We offer this pledge in gratitude for all the ways this community supports me/us in following the Way of Jesus.
