Grow, Connect, Thrive. Our 2024 Stewardship campaign theme aptly reflects the focus of our parish family and our objective for the future. In recent years, we have welcomed many new parishioners to St. Luke’s. Annual events have seen increased participation. Weekly outdoor services, Wednesday healing services, Lenten dinners, Eastertide breakfasts, chicken sandwich nights, Vacation Bible School and Sunday evening Board Games have been added. Our worship services, with our attractive Soft Space, and our Sunday School classes, now on the third floor, have seen marked increases in attendance.
In order to support these new and existing ministries, the Vestry hired a part-time Education Coordinator to support educational programming for parishioners and families, and a Curate for a year to support worship, youth, and pastoral visits. To fund these two positions, the Vestry made the decision to dip into our financial reserves. We are now at a crossroads: to sustain this level of personnel and programs and for St. Luke’s to continue to thrive, funds must be raised through pledges. The goal of this year’s Stewardship campaign is a challenging $633,000. Overall, this represents a 30% increase in pledged dollars compared to last year.
